Welcome to Bethany
Christian Church. Thanks for stopping by. Check us out here on the web
and then come and visit us in person or send us an e-mail. We’re
always glad to make new friends and to welcome new people into our
community of faith.
Our motto here at Bethany is “not to be served, but to serve.”
You’ll find that most of our members are actively involved not only in
service to our congregation but more importantly, in the larger
community through many different service agencies and organizations.
Welcoming and giving. Come be part of what’s brewing here at Bethany.

McLaughlin, Pastor

We
are a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). While there are some
things that we hold in common with all other Disciples, each congregation is unique.
See our Frequently Asked Questions for information about Bethany's
basic beliefs.
Bethany's
members cherish inclusion of the whole family of God as an important
part of their faith. Bethany's members range from the very young to
the very mature. That's
hard to find in our segmented society. But it is important for young
and old alike to know each other and to feel comfortable and learn
from one another.
There are currently several
families who are second
and third generation members of Bethany. Grandparents, parent and
children can be found worshipping side-by-side on Sunday mornings.

Thankful for
God’s Biblical call to mission,
Bethany Christian Church responds as a “Shalom Congregation” in
prayer, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, worship, fellowship,
education, ecumenical witness, world outreach and service.
We invite others
to share this Christian life, and seek to be
a faithful prophetic presence through actions for peace,
justice, and reconciliation for the whole creation.

We believe that Bethany Christian
Church is called to welcome and minister to our
community. As we journey together, we seek to claim the promise of a
saving, loving, and healing relationship with God through Jesus the
Christ.

Recognizing the unconditional
acceptance of Jesus the Christ, Bethany Christian Church affirms that
all people – regardless of race, color, national origin, gender,
sexual orientation, age or disability – are welcome to share fully in
the life of our congregation. All members who qualify according to the
requirements of our constitution and bylaws are eligible to hold the
elected offices of elder, deacon, officer, and trustee.
